Ingredients:
- 10-12 fresh mint leaves
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp simple syrup
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 4-6 oz chilled club soda
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1 lime wheel
- 1 fresh mint sprig
Instructions:
- Place mint leaves, lime juice, and syrup in the bottom of the glass. Use a muddler to press the mint 3-4 times gently until a strong, fresh mint aroma is released, keeping the leaves mostly whole.
- Fill the glass to the brim with crushed ice to instantly chill the drink and hold the mint leaves in place.
- Pour the chilled club soda over the ice. Use a long spoon to gently lift the mint and lime from the bottom to the top in one fluid motion to maintain carbonation.
- Garnish by sliding a lime wheel against the inside of the glass and tucking in a mint sprig that has been slapped against your wrist to release its oils.
