Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Note: Any leftover moisture will steam the fish instead of searing it.
  2. Place them on a foil lined baking sheet and season evenly with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt your butter in a small bowl or microwave.
  4. Whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest until the garlic is evenly suspended.
  5. Pour the sauce generously over each fillet, ensuring the tops and sides are coated.
  6. For baked salmon, put them in the oven at 400°F (200°C) and cook for 12-15 minutes until the edges are opaque and the fish flakes with a fork.
  7. For air fryer salmon, place them in the basket at 380°F (193°C) for 8-10 minutes until the top is shimmering and slightly golden.
  8. Remove from heat and let the fish rest for 2 minutes.
  9. Drizzle any remaining pan juices from the foil back over the fillets.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and a final squeeze of lemon if you like it extra zesty.
