Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Baking Mix
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Grate the cold sharp cheddar cheese using a box grater. Let the cheese sit for 5 minutes to reach room temperature for better emulsification.
  3. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the raw bulk pork sausage, softened cream cheese, and grated cheddar. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the Bisquick baking mix, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix on low speed or by hand until a cohesive dough forms. Do not overwork.
  5. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls (approximately 45-50 total) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned and the tops reach a deep mahogany color.
