Ingredients:
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- 2 cups Bisquick Original Baking Mix
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Grate the cold sharp cheddar cheese using a box grater. Let the cheese sit for 5 minutes to reach room temperature for better emulsification.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the raw bulk pork sausage, softened cream cheese, and grated cheddar. Mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the Bisquick baking mix, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix on low speed or by hand until a cohesive dough forms. Do not overwork.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls (approximately 45-50 total) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned and the tops reach a deep mahogany color.
