Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp raw honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Ensure all pieces are cut to a uniform 1-inch size for even cooking.
- In a bowl, whisk 1 tbsp avocado oil, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, toasted sesame oil, grated garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Toss the salmon cubes in the glaze for no more than 5 minutes to prevent the salt from altering the texture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching to allow maximum airflow.
- Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket gently halfway through. The salmon is done when the edges are mahogany-colored and the center is tender.
